Reddcoin is a cryptocurrency derived from Litecoin. Reddcoin is a platform for tipping. The RDD coin is used to encourage and reward content creators, send money to friends and crowdfund various projects. Originally, Reddcoin was a Scrypt-based PoW cryptocurrency, similar to Litecoin. Since then, however, Reddcoin has switched to the Proof-of-Stake Velocity algorithm. At the time of writing, there is a 5% interest rate for coin holders, paid annually and issued with staking. RDD price increased rapidly in the winter of 2017-2018. At the start of 2019, the price is significantly lower than it was at the price peak. Still, the RDD coin is a promising crypto with a capitalization of over 49 million dollars.
