On November 15, cryptocurrency exchange Binance added a fiat channel with Turkish fiat currency (TRY) to buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Ripple (XRP).
Now Binance users from Turkey can buy three cryptocurrencies – BTC, ETH, and XRP – using Turkish fiat currency via the exchange’s local digital wallet partner Papara.
Turkish Lira support has been added only for buying cryptocurrencies, and the plans for adding support to sell cryptocurrencies have not yet been revealed.
The soft turkish fiat currency support launch comes a week before Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao’s visit to the country, where he plans to speak at the Turkish Capital Markets Summit 2019.
As COIN360 previously reported, earlier this week, during the Binance Super Meetup in Singapore, Changpeng Zhao announced he is planning to integrate all 180 fiat currencies into Binance’s platform. In October Binance exchange already started to support several fiat currencies, including the Nigerian naira and the Russian ruble.
