Bitmain to Launch World Digital Mining Map Connecting Miners and Mining Farm Owners

The COIN360 Editorial Team

Bitmain, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Bitcoin mining gear, will launch the World Digital Mining Map (WDMM) at the World Digital Mining Summit (WDMS) that will take place in Frankfurt between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10. WDMM is a project which connects miners and mining farm owners.

The move is described as a part of Bitmain’s strategy to “help make crypto mining more sustainable in the long term by providing a whole new way for connecting mining farms and hardware owners.”

According to Bitmain, the WDMM will be the first global resource that connects owners of mining hardware with farm owners who have access to power and can host them for a fee. To be listed on WDMM, mining farm owners should submit details of their farm’s set up and their capacity to host other miners. In return, the chipset manufacturer will offer personalized services including “assistance with mining farm design, connections to foreign customers to host, and support with operations, purchasing, and construction.”
