Registration for Bybit’s inaugural BTC Brawl, the “biggest global team trading competition the world has ever seen!”, got underway on 18th November at 9.00AM UTC.
Bybit, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange based in Singapore, have been going from strength to strength, recently hitting the 4 billion USD mark for 24 hour trading volume, and the BTC Brawl is another sure sign of Bybit’s meteoric rise in the world of crypto derivatives trading.

SINGAPORE, 27 September, 2019 – During the World Digital Mining Summit (WDMS) - which will take place in Frankfurt on 8-10 October - Bitmain will launch the first platform to connect mining hardware owners with mining farm owners via the World Digital Mining Map (WDMM).
To remain price-efficient, owners of mining hardware are regularly on the lookout for locations with the right conditions and power resources for cryptocurrency mining. The WDMM will be the first global resource to connect them with mining farms who have the available power resources to host them for a fee.
“The WDMM will help make cryptocurrency mining more sustainable in the long-run by connecting mining farms and hardware owners in a whole new way. It is part of our commitment to provide miners with on-going support throughout their hardware’s lifetime and to support the sector’s overall growth,” said Matthew Wang, Director of Mining Farm of Bitmain.
Mining farm owners can apply to be listed on the WDMM during the WDMS. Applicants will need to provide details on their current mining farm setup and capacity to host other miners. In return, participants will be given personalised services from Bitmain which includes assistance with mining farm design, connections to foreign customers to host, and support with operations, purchasing and construction.
“Being listed on the WDMM helped me to find miners who want to host their rigs in my facility. Bitmain was able to connect me with the right customers to fill in the extra capacity I had. This is the support I needed to help me expand my facility at a faster pace,” said Gregory Ohanessian, Chief Mining Officer of VC Mining.
“Tapping into Bitmain’s assessment and support services via the WDMM helped me to optimise my facility. Their team suggested new ways to further the overall output from my Antminers while reducing downtime. This has made it cheaper to build my mining farm and made operations more cost-effective, driving overall profits,” added Dmitrii Ushakov, Chief Commercial Officer of Bitriver.
During the WDMS, Bitmain will also announce the winners of the Top 10 Mining Farms around the world. The summit will provide a workshop focused on mining farm data analysis, as well as discussions on the future of mining facilities. Asia’s largest blockchain weekly event, also known as Korea Blockchain Week (KBW2019), will be held in the upcoming days of September 27th to October 4th. KBW 2019 held this second time around will be hosted by global blockchain project-specialized accelerator company FactBlock and is sponsored officially by the Seoul and Busan Metropolitan City. During the week of this event, various events, meetups and networking parties will take place all over Seoul.

The main conference of KBW 2019, known as D.FINE will take place between September 30th and October 1st at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas. D.FINE will feature a series of global blockchain industry experts under the theme, “The Real and the Virtual”. Nick Szabo, the ‘father of cryptocurrency’ known for devising the concept of smart contracts, along with Adam Back, co-founder of Blockstream and inventor of the proof-of work algorithm will make their appearance as speakers. Not only will this be their first-time visiting Korea together, but this will also be the first-time sharing the stage together.
In addition, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood will also make their appearance as speakers. Just like Szabo and Back, it will be Wood’s first time in Korea at the blockchain event.
Other pioneers in the blockchain industry including Galaxy Digital’s Michael Novogratz, Brittany Kaiser, former Cambridge Analytica director, Kevin Chou, former CEO of leading North American game company Kabam, and current developer of the blockchain game ‘Forte’, Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger, Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, Hashed CEO Simon Kim, and Terra CEO Daniel Shin will gather to share their insight on the current and future state of the blockchain industry.
Global Blockchain Moguls to Visit Korea En Masse, Delivering Speeches and Discussions
Above all, 50 global blockchain and cryptocurrency experts including global blockchain entrepreneurs and developers, as well as investors, international organizations, communities and opinion leaders, will participate at the conference.
Nick Szabo and Gavin Wood’s keynote and panel discussions are scheduled for the first day of D.FINE. This will be followed by policy and regulatory sessions and enterprise sessions. Key topics will include technological innovation for digital economy, games headed for blockchain, and privacy in the decentralized era.

A lot has taken place in the world of crypto mining this year. Bitcoin hash rate and difficulty levels have hit record highs.
